Exploring Neuroscience Through ArtTM
by Michelle Hunter
Reception Details and to RSVP
Hi there! I'm Michelle, a New Yorker of Caribbean and Middle Eastern descent who has become passionate about an organ we don't really "think" about, our brain.
Start the New Year by learning more about your brain through art (i.e. for how apples effect your brain, see below).
Please join me, a few friends and others interested in the arts and science. I'd love to hear how these art works resonate with you.
"The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office." -Robert Frost
What is the art about? The purpose of my Brain Series is to educate the general public about the most complex organ in our bodies, one we don't really "think" about - our brain, through a series of contemporary paintings.
Please RSVP, so I have enough food and drink on hand. Simply click the "I'm coming!" or "I can't come" button below. It will take you to a quick and easy Google form to capture your RSVP.
After the reception, swing by the Brooklyn Museum for their Target First Saturday activities!
It runs from 5-10 pm..
Date: Saturday January 4th, 2014 from 1-5pm

Noticed the apple stamp on your postcard?
Apples can actually help protect your brain cells against damage that can trigger Alzheimer's & Parkinsonism. The more you know :) ....
